The Pornograph collective from Miami put on a great viewing of the Detroit Techno documentary: High Tech Soul ... A great movie if your interested in the roots of Techno a-la D-town’s own Juan Atkins, Derrick May & Kevin Saunderson. It also looks at the relationships and personal struggles behind the music. Artists like Richie Hawtin, Jeff Mills, Carl Craig, Eddie Fowlkes and a host of others explain why techno, with its abrasive tones and resonating basslines, could not have come from anywhere but Detroit!

Hats off to Paxahau for an amazing event.  It was great to get back in contact with everybody & meet new faces. Special thanks to Adam & Amanda for the hospitality during our stay.

All apologies for the lack of updates, especially for all the people that are checking here for the reopening of The Lounge.  Obviously it has been long overdue for reopening, but a good source reports only a couple more weeks are left with the remodeling!  Work & computer issues have also limited updates & again apologies to all those who were down at the Winter Music Conference. This year’s WMC was once again an amazing week for Electronic Dance Music.

Next on the agenda is Orlando, Florida, where Les Goodrich will be turnin’ the wheels ... details TBA; then it’s off to Detroit for DEMF!  The last time I was there was 2002, so it will be great to meet & catch up with everybody.
